About You

You are an Azure DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing, provisioning, and managing cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. You enjoy automating infrastructure, building reliable CI/CD pipelines, and improving cloud operations through Infrastructure as Code and DevOps best practices.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with development and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of technical challenges while contributing to high-performing engineering teams.

Note: This is a temporary 6-month contractor opportunity.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and CI/CD automation.
• Experience provisioning Azure infrastructure using Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Proficiency with Azure CLI for infrastructure management and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GitHub Actions in Azure environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience with Azure Functions and other Azure-native services.
• Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure Monitor, and Azure Policy.
• Strong understanding of Azure security best practices and DevOps automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and infrastructure management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Advanced English proficiency.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Provision, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support client applications and services.
• Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules for Azure infrastructure provisioning.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues across Azure environments.
• Apply Azure security best practices and governance standards throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Monitor, optimize, and maintain Azure cloud services to ensure high availability and performance.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the DevOps team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and DevOps engineering.
• Strong experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Azure CLI.
• Experience with AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and Azure security best practices.
• Advanced English proficiency.
