Job description

Description

Genpact (NYSE: G) is an agentic and advanced technology solutions company. We leverage process intelligence and artificial intelligence to deliver measurable outcomes. With a strong partner ecosystem and decades of client trust, we provide innovative solutions that transform how businesses run. Powered by a team with an active learning mindset and client centricity at its core, we deliver lasting value for the world’s leading enterprises.

This posting is for a position within the Experience unit at Genpact. Experience is Genpact’s capability for designing and improving the platforms, interactions and journeys employees and customers use every day. With deep expertise across leading platforms like Adobe, Microsoft, Sitecore, and Optimizely, we unite strategy, human-centered design, engineering and AI inside core enterprise systems, so experiences don’t just look better, they perform better, drive adoption and turn advanced technology into measurable business outcomes at scale.

Our Committement to YOU!

No matter who you are, where you come from, who you love, what you believe, or what you get excited about, we bring people together to make phenomenal work. That’s what makes us Genpact!

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Coveo Platform Lead (Long Term Contractor) to own the search, discovery, and merchandising experience for one of our enterprise clients built on Coveo. This is a hands-on technical leadership role spanning platform architecture, search relevance tuning, and roadmap strategy partnering with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to turn Coveo into a measurable driver of commerce conversion and self-service outcomes.

You’ll take ownership of the Coveo implementation end-to-end: source and index configuration, query pipelines, and machine learning models for relevance, personalization, and recommendations along with the integration layer connecting Coveo to a headless commerce and content platform such as Optimizely. You’ll also work as, or alongside, a Product Manager to shape the search roadmap, prioritizing features, sizing ROI, and translating business goals into a backlog the engineering team can execute against.

If you love the intersection of search relevance, B2B commerce merchandising, and modern front-end engineering, and want to be the go-to Coveo expert for a portfolio of enterprise clients, this is your role.

Only those candidates that are local to USA and do not require any form of sponsorship will be considered.
This role is NOT open to any agencies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own end-to-end implementation and platform administration of Coveo for Commerce, including source and index configuration, query pipelines, and ML models (Automatic Relevance Tuning, Product Recommendations, Personalization).
  • Architect and maintain the integration between Coveo and headless CMS/DXP platforms such as Optimizely, ensuring clean, reliable data flows between content, product catalog, and search indices.
  • Tune search relevance and merchandising rules, ranking expressions, facets, filters, synonyms/thesaurus, featured results, and category/listing page rules to drive findability and conversion.
  • Design and implement product recommendation and personalization strategies rooted in Coveo’s ML capabilities, tied to measurable commerce KPIs such as conversion rate, AOV, and search abandonment.
  • Apply B2B commerce search patterns across account-based catalogs, contract pricing visibility, complex faceting, and buyer-role-specific relevance distinct from standard B2C search tuning.
  • Evaluate and design conversational and generative AI search experiences (Coveo Relevance Generative Answering and related agentic/conversational search patterns) to extend beyond traditional keyword search.
  • Partner with, or act as, a Product Manager on the search roadmap: prioritizing features, running ROI analysis, and aligning stakeholders on trade-offs between platform capability and business value.
  • Contribute hands-on to development across Next.js, React, and Coveo Headless/Atomic, building and maintaining custom search UI components, result templates, and interfaces.
  • Monitor Coveo Usage Analytics to identify relevance gaps, zero-result queries, and merchandising opportunities, and translate findings into a continuous tuning cadence.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for the client’s search platform, presenting roadmap, performance results, and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and DevOps teams to ensure the Coveo implementation meets performance, security, and scalability standards in production.
  • Mentor developers and analysts on Coveo best practices, query syntax, and search UX patterns, building internal accelerators and reusable components for future engagements.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and administering the Coveo platform, including Coveo for Commerce, in production enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience integrating Coveo with a headless CMS/DXP platform (Optimizely strongly preferred; experience with Sitecore, Adobe, or similar platforms also valuable).
  • B2B commerce experience including understanding of contract pricing, account-based catalogs, complex product hierarchies, and buyer-specific relevance requirements.
  • Strong hands-on search and merchandising tuning experience: ranking, relevancy models, facets, synonyms/thesaurus, recommendations, and listing/category page configuration.
  • Working knowledge of conversational AI search solution patterns and generative search (e.g., Coveo RGA, LLM-powered search assistants, agentic search).
  • Experience partnering with or acting as a Product Manager—prioritizing a roadmap, sizing ROI, and translating business requirements into a technical backlog.
  • Development experience across Next.js, React, and Coveo Headless (or comparable JavaScript-based search UI frameworks).
  • Familiarity with Coveo Usage Analytics and using data to drive continuous relevance and merchandising improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present platform strategy and results to both engineering teams and client executives.

What sets you apart:

  • Coveo certification (Coveo Certified Professional or equivalent).
  • Optimizely Content Cloud or Commerce Cloud certification.
  • Experience with additional enterprise search or DXP platforms (Adobe Experience Cloud, Sitecore, Algolia).
  • Background in consulting or multi-client delivery environments where adaptability and client-facing communication are essential.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS) supporting search and commerce workloads or backend integrations.
  • Familiarity with headless commerce architectures and API-first integration patterns (REST/GraphQL).
  • Track record of building internal accelerators, frameworks, or reusable components that scale across client engagements.
