WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a senior SAP Enterprise Integration Architect to design, build, and govern our hybrid SAP integration landscape. This is a hands-on role responsible for architecting scalable, secure integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems, establishing the standards, patterns, and governance that keep mission-critical interfaces reliable.
The ideal candidate pairs deep SAP PI/PO/CPI/Integration Suite delivery expertise with strong enterprise-architecture judgment and is equally comfortable at the keyboard designing iFlows and in the architecture room aligning stakeholders, developers, security teams, and business partners.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Architect and personally build end-to-end integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI), API Management, and Event Mesh across ERP, MES, PLM, CRM, logistics, and EDI partners.
Establish enterprise integration standards, reusable iFlow patterns, naming conventions, transport plans, error-handling frameworks, and a CPI governance model adopted org-wide.
Develop graphical, XSLT, and Java (UDF) mappings; configure SOAP, REST, OData, BAPI, JDBC, sFTP, MQ, PGP, and EDI X12 adapters.
Implement and support B2B/EDI integrations (X12 transaction sets).
Integrate SAP S/4HANA with non-SAP Systems such as Salesforce, Oracle ERP, and other cloud and on-premise applications using pre-packaged content and custom enhancements.
Design and implement secure data exchange using PGP encryption/decryption, SSL/TLS, Crypto Toolkit, Web Dispatcher and DMZ setup, coordinating firewall and certificate management with infrastructure teams.
Drive integration architecture for greenfield implementations and cloud-modernization programs, defining canonical data models, service lifecycle, and reference architecture.
Lead onshore/offshore integration teams within Agile/Scrum and Kanban frameworks including sprint planning, estimation, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery across parallel workstreams.
Partner with enterprise architects, security, infrastructure, functional, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance and audit readiness across all interfaces runs.
Conduct integration, system, performance, and stress testing; provide production support, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement for the interface landscape.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
15+ years of IT experience with a strong concentration in SAP integration delivery in an architect or lead capacity.
Deep, hands-on expertise across SAP PI/PO and SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), with a track record of personally building large volumes of production interfaces.
Strong experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, Cloud Connector, and BTP Connectivity Service.
Expert practitioner in graphical, XSLT, and Java (UDF) mapping, and in configuring the full range of adapters (SOAP, REST, OData, BAPI, JDBC, sFTP, MQ, PGP, EDI X12).
Working knowledge of integration security: SSL/TLS, Crypto Toolkit, Web Dispatcher, DMZ setup, principal propagation, and PGP.
Demonstrated team leadership across onshore/offshore models, with strong stakeholder management and Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP Certified – Process Integration / Process Orchestration (PI/PO) and/or Cloud Integration (CPI) Consultant.
TOGAF certification and experience setting up Centers of Excellence (CoE) and integration governance.
Familiarity with B2B Add-ons.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In this role, you will be the technical anchor for our integration platform; delivering resilient, secure, and reusable integrations, modernizing legacy middleware onto SAP BTP with minimal disruption, and establishing the governance and standards that let SAP and non-SAP systems exchange data reliably at enterprise scale.
