About the Company

This client is an established residential design and construction company based in Auckland, New Zealand, with 28 years of experience specializing in architectural renovations, restorations, and extensions for heritage villas and character bungalows. Co-founded by a Licensed Master Builder and an honours-qualified Interior Architect, the company uniquely balances design integrity with practical buildability. They offer full end-to-end project management—spanning from initial concept designs and internal quantity surveying to council compliance—utilizing a permanent, in-house building team to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.

Role Overview

As a Marketing & Digital Automation Specialist, you will build, manage, and continuously optimize our end-to-end digital marketing infrastructure. This is a strategic role focused on building scalable, repeatable systems that generate qualified leads for custom renovations and new home builds, rather than a standard social media posting position. Working closely with the Company Director, you will become a key long-term member of the business, taking full ownership of automation funnels, digital advertising, and premium content delivery.

Responsibilities

Marketing Automation & CRM (Primary Focus)

  • Build, manage, and optimize complex customer relationship management (ActiveCampaign CRM) automations and workflows.
  • Create and execute sophisticated email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and lead-nurturing sequences.
  • Segment customer databases to deliver targeted content and develop automated customer journeys.
  • Continually analyze and improve marketing funnels to enhance overall customer engagement and conversion rates.

Digital Marketing & Advertising

  • Design, launch, and manage targeted paid advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram.
  • Monitor daily campaign performance, adjusting targeting and creative asset allocation to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Analyze key advertising metrics and proactively recommend data-driven improvements to boost qualified lead generation.
  • Support future digital marketing expansion initiatives across additional advertising platforms as needed.

Content Creation & Social Media

  • Produce premium, visually engaging digital assets using graphic design platforms.
  • Edit high-quality short-form videos optimized for modern social media consumption.
  • Schedule, publish, and manage content distribution across multiple social channels.
  • Write compelling, conversion-focused marketing copy, captions, and promotional text.
  • Maintain a consistent, high-end brand voice and visual message across all digital touchpoints.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce comprehensive weekly marketing and lead generation reports for leadership review.
  • Track and monitor marketing ecosystem performance against agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Leverage advanced AI tools to improve productivity, workflows, and content outcomes.
  • Collaborate directly with the Company Director to shape long-term marketing strategy and operational execution

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (Must-Have):

  • System Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience building and managing automations within ActiveCampaign.
  • Advertising Experience: Demonstrated track record of managing paid social campaigns via Meta Ads Manager.
  • Design & Media Skills: Strong graphic design capabilities using Canva, and proven experience editing video content via CapCut.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a talent for copy and storytelling.
  • Strategy: Strong understanding of digital marketing funnels, customer journeys, and lead-generation frameworks.
  • Execution: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Prior experience driving marketing efforts within the residential construction, architecture, luxury design, or real estate sectors.
  • Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices and WordPress website management.
  • Experience setting up and optimizing Google Ads campaigns.
  • Advanced skills in leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to maximize marketing output and operational efficiency.
