Job description

Company Overview

Our client is a bootstrapped, profitable U.S.-based SaaS company building inspection and documentation software for property managers. Founded in 2014, its platform supports 20,000+ active users across the U.S. and more than 20 countries, with over 100 million inspection photos processed.

Its mobile and web applications help teams capture geotagged photos, videos, and voice notes, work offline, generate reports, assign tasks, and connect inspection data with established property management systems. The company is also applying AI to turn field voice notes into structured inspection reports.

Your Role

As Program Manager/Product Specialist, you'll bring the customer's perspective into every stage of the product cycle, from early discovery and requirements to hands-on testing and release readiness.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you'll work closely with Customer Success, Support, and Marketing to ensure the team understands the right problems, builds practical solutions, and releases features that behave predictably in real inspection workflows.

Success means clearer engineering inputs, fewer post-release surprises, faster resolution of recurring issues, and well-documented product decisions.

You'll:

  • Analyze customer feedback and identify recurring workflow problems

  • Translate messy input into clear, actionable product requirements

  • Document edge cases, tradeoffs, dependencies, and open questions

  • Test features across complete mobile and web workflows

  • Reproduce customer issues and verify their root causes

  • Confirm fixes solve the original problem, not just symptoms

  • Coordinate accurate release notes with Marketing and Support

  • Surface product risks and blockers before they affect delivery

You Bring:

  • 3+ years in product, QA, implementation, or SaaS operations

  • Experience converting customer feedback into structured requirements

  • Strong hands-on software testing and edge-case thinking

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication

  • Clear, concise, and well-organized documentation habits

  • A process-oriented, self-directed approach to ownership

  • Confidence collaborating across technical and customer-facing teams

  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity

Bonus Points:

  • Property management, field services, or inspection experience

  • Experience writing release notes, FAQs, or help documentation

  • Familiarity with issue trackers and product analytics tools

  • Exposure to mobile applications, offline workflows, or integrations

What's Offered:

  • Fully remote contractor role across the Americas

  • Approximately 40 hours per week, with some flexibility

  • What we'd estimate for a role like this: around $2,000 to $4,000 USD per month, based on experience, impact, location, and hours

  • Paid weekly in USD. Share the range that fits your level and we'll go from there

  • Up to 20 paid days off per year

  • Direct collaboration with the Head of Engineering

  • Meaningful influence over product quality and customer experience

This role requires reliable overlap with the company's primary working window of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time.

Interview Process:

1️⃣ Intro Call: Discuss your background, motivation, and product approach
2️⃣ Practical Exercise: Analyze a workflow and draft clear requirements
3️⃣ Team Interview: Explore testing judgment and customer scenarios
4️⃣ Engineering Conversation: Align on expectations and release workflows
5️⃣ Final Conversation: Discuss company context and next steps
Most candidates move from the first conversation to a decision within approximately two to three weeks.
