Job description

SimpliGov, a government operations platform, is looking for a hands-on Enablement Content Specialist who combines editorial judgment with the ability to create polished, on-brand sales and marketing assets. Government teams are under more pressure than ever to modernize, and the agencies we serve are moving away from email chains and spreadsheets toward operations they can actually see and own. This person will translate that shift into content buyers can act on: from shaping the narrative to producing visually compelling deliverables that make the case for structured, owned operations, not just another system to manage.

You'll partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Teams to develop content that clearly communicates value and helps move deals forward. This is an individual contributor role with real ownership over how content gets built and used, but no direct reports. This role reports to the Product Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation and Storytelling

  • Develop sales and marketing content, including customer case studies, one-pagers, solution briefs, sales decks, and campaign assets.
  • Turn technical concepts into clear, structured narratives tailored to target personas and buying stages.
  • Create content that supports pipeline generation and deal progression by addressing customer needs, objections, and use cases.
  • Develop training and education content for new team member onboarding, product launches, and other internal learning initiatives.
  • Edit and proofread all content for clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment before it ships.

Product Marketing Support

  • Own competitive positioning materials and battlecards, working from Product Marketing's research and messaging direction.
  • Help develop and refine buyer persona and use-case documentation that both Sales and Product Marketing draw on.
  • Bring field and deal-cycle feedback back to Product Marketing to sharpen messaging over time.

Assets

  • Build and maintain a centralized library of sales-ready content that is easy to find, current, and mapped to key stages of the sales cycle.
  • Work directly with Sales to understand buyer challenges, refine messaging, and create assets that accelerate deal velocity and win rates.
  • Ensure content is practical and built for real-world use in sales conversations, so teams can tell a consistent story across engagements.
  • Support product launches and releases with relevant, engaging collateral.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the judgment to adapt tone, structure, and depth for different personas, buying stages, and formats.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in content, copywriting, sales enablement, or product marketing, ideally in B2B or govtech.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, able to build clean, on-brand decks without heavy design support.
  • Experience with Webflow, comfortable making updates and building pages within an existing design system.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to create content and enablement assets.
  • Strong project management instincts: able to juggle multiple content requests, prioritize, and hit deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Comfortable partnering with Sales to translate real conversations and objections into content that actually gets used.
  • Curiosity and hands-on experience (or strong interest) in using AI tools to build lightweight agents or workflows that support content production, research, or enablement tasks. This isn't a technical engineering role, but a nice-to-have edge for someone who likes finding ways to work smarter.
  • Familiarity with government, public sector, or other complex B2B buying environments is a plus, but not required.

What We Offer:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, with significant employer contributions for employees AND dependents
  • Company-sponsored life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance
  • 11 Paid holidays
  • Flexible time off
