Opportunity Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join Upland India as a QA Analyst I for our RightAnswers product.  The individual will work as a QA on manual testing.

What would you do?

• Test new features and bug fixes of the product before release.
• Develop manual tests and execute functional, application, security, performance,and regression testing.
• Record, analyze and report on test results and complex issues.
• Interact with QA, Product Owners, andDevelopment team members to understand the testing requirements.
• Participate in planning meetings to iron out a testing plan upfront.
• Test API endpoints using an API Tool like Postman.
• Know basic SQL commands and queries.
• Generate, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright or Similar Tools to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort.

What are we looking for?

Technical Skills

The following skills are needed for this role.

3-5 years

Primary Skills: The candidate must possess the following primary skills:

• Writing and executing manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Basic SQL commands
• API testing using tools like Postman
• Practical Agile and Scrum
• Google Chrome Dev Tools
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable Playwright test scripts or Similar Tools in JavaScript.

Secondary Skills: It would be advantageous if the candidate also has the following secondary skills:

• Search concepts
• Experience with CRMs (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow)

Soft Skills:

• Thrives collaborating in a team environment with a diverse range of people.
• Able to have a change of mind, and able to change the minds of others.
• Writes clearly and 
• Capable of working without a companyoffice, with a fully remote  

Growth Skills:

• Possesses a good work ethic; a self-starter with a desire to grow.
• Always looking for better ways to get the job done.

Qualification

A bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience is required.

This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
