Position Summary: The REO Asset Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of assets on a loan level basis while maximizing the return for the investor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Manages the disposition of a portfolio of real estate owned assets.  Reviews appraisals and broker price opinions and establishes market values and strategies to sell assets in a manner which maximizes recovery and minimizes expenses while in compliance with established policies and procedures.  Provides hands-on approach as it relates to internal processes and vendor management.  Ensures sale and disposition of assets through strict timeline management.  Ensures timely and accurate reports are received for distribution.  Provides recommendations for procedural changes and improvements as they pertain to the department.  Stays abreast of changes to federal and state mortgage laws and regulations affecting the operation.
