Job description

In this varied role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our business maintains the highest standards of compliance by developing, reviewing and embedding policies, monitoring adherence through audits and training, and providing expert guidance on regulatory requirements. You'll help protect the business by promoting a strong culture of compliance across Smartest Energy UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining policy development with hands-on operational compliance. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business and external stakeholders to keep pace with changing legislation, oversee mandatory compliance training, support fraud management and investigations, and contribute to regulatory reporting and audits. If you have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • Experience with compliance legislation and policy writing;

  • Experience in a regulatory/compliance implementation;

  • Proven track record in Fraud investigation techniques;

  • Pragmatism, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Knowledge of UK legislation and regulation.
