The purpose of this role is to manage credit control and collection of outstanding ensuring the achievement of targets and goals. This includes performing basic Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable tasks, assisting in credit control execution, monitoring installment billing, and maintaining ledgers for a portfolio of customers. Additionally, the role involves acting as a bridge between transactional activities and stakeholders, resolving complex queries, and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the Credit Control unit's workflow.

The Opportunity:

Responsible for managing credit control and collections to achieve performance targets, while supporting accounts payable/receivable activities, overseeing installment billing and customer ledgers, resolving complex stakeholder queries, and ensuring efficient Credit Control operations and workflow effectiveness.

Your New Role:

  • Take ownership of the ledger and ensure all avenues are explored to collect outstanding debt.
  • Analyse credit control data to identify and address problem areas promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and current database information.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for excellent customer focus.
  • Process, allocate, and notify all entities of their respective shares of collections and premiums within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor and control payments to ensure they are accurate and timely.
  • Assist in optimising processes for effective transaction processing.
  • Investigate and resolve aged debt to keep it to a minimum.
  • Referral of technical queries to appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Train and motivate team members to achieve objectives successfully.

About You:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable and/or cash management functions.
  • Experience in Financial Services or Insurance.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with offshore partners.
