PSC Creative College is Australia’s award-winning #1 Photography College situated in Melbourne’s creative arts precinct. PSC offers innovative courses across all skill levels. PSC’s community of students, lecturers, and alumni are shaping visual storytelling and professional photography, videography and digital media in Australia and beyond. 

The college is located in South Melbourne, a couple of tram stops away from Southern Cross station, neighbouring the South Melbourne Markets and many creative businesses.

Job Description

The Course Writer position is offered via independent contracts per unit of competency and will assist PSC Creative College in the development of learning and assessment materials for new and existing vocational education qualifications. This includes units within the Certificate III in Visual Arts, Certificate IV in Photography and Digital Imaging and Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with content and industry specialists on course development
  • Research, develop, and review learning and assessment materials
  • Ensure quality through proofreading and alignment with outcomes
  • Update mapping guides and incorporate feedback into materials
  • Support accreditation, course reviews, and related projects

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in photography, creative arts, or a related discipline such as digital imaging or visual arts, combined with demonstrated current industry practice.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience (voluntary or paid) in a professional practice, post-production, studio, commercial/editorial or similar.
  • Course development experience (preferably in the Vocational Education Sector).
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
