We are looking for a highly organized, basketball-obsessed Show Social Manager (Independent Contractor) to manage a premium NBA Podcast’s social media channels (including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, and more). This contract will start in September (in preparation for the upcoming season and key events) and run through July.
You live and breathe NBA basketball. You don’t just watch the games; you understand the memes, the storylines, the stats, and the culture surrounding the league.
You are a social-first creator. You know exactly what makes a video go viral on TikTok, what grabs attention on Instagram, and how to command a community on X.
You are highly organized and self-motivated. You can manage a content calendar, keep track of assets, and deliver high-quality posts consistently in a fast-paced environment.
Here are some of the key ways you’ll contribute to the show's success:
Channel Management: Take full ownership of day-to-day programming and optimization across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, and other key social platforms.
Real-time Live Coverage: Monitor live NBA games and major events to post real-time updates, game recaps, scores, and cultural moments.
Content Execution: Program and schedule highly engaging, social-first content tied closely to the show's weekly episodes and seasonal storylines.
Branded Content Ideation: Contribute ideas and ways for sponsors to integrate within social content, and help stay organized during approval processes.
