Job description

The Opportunity 

InCharge Energy is seeking an Associate Product Manager to assist our product management team and oversee the development of our InControl charge management system. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with remote teams, engaging in cross-functional collaboration across organizations, and has experience with Agile development in a startup environment. The Product Manager will be responsible for collecting software requirements from our customers, prospects, stakeholders, and partners. This person will ensure that our products meet the needs of our user community of commercial electric vehicle fleet owners and operators, and further our greater goal of electrifying transportation. If you are passionate about developing innovative products and working with a team of talented, dedicated professionals, we encourage you to apply for the position of Associate Product Manager at InCharge Energy. What You'll Do 

  • Manage the workflow of a cross-functional software development team on our InControl charger management system
  • Communicate, collaborate, study, and engage with our user community to understand their needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in design, hardware, software, QA, hardware, sales, service, project management, and marketing to ensure that our software products are aligned with corporate objectives
  • Draft clear, actionable, and testable Product Requirements Documents, tickets for designers and developers, and engage with those team members to collect their input and ideas
  • Utilize AI-based tools to create documents, clickable prototypes, and streamlined workflows
  • Translate software roadmap strategic goals into practical implementations Work with remote teams and ensure that they are meeting their goals and objectives
  • Build and nurture the community of developers utilizing our platform
  • Support Sales with product demonstrations, assistance with proposals, training, and building relationships with prospects and customers
  • Align our software with Marketing's brand guidelines and provide product training and documentation to assist them in their efforts
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to our leadership team
  • Understand our competitive positioning and identify ways to win market share and improve key metrics. 

Your Experience and Capabilities 

  • Bachelor's degree required. Specialization in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in product management or project management
  • 2+ years of experience managing remote teams
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with our industry (EV Charging) or related industries such as electric vehicle OEMs, microgrids/DERs, and/or utilities ideal
  • Familiarity with using AI tooling to draft tickets, PRDs, and other artifacts, and create prototypes, used in Product Management
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as OCPP, Modbus, OpenADR preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud security standards such as SOC2 and NIST 800-53 preferred
  • Experience with Software as a Service and native app development practices, metrics, and go-to-market strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
US Salary Range
$85,000$100,000 USD
