Role Summary
We're looking for a territory-based hunter to own the Pittsburgh market, build relationships from the ground up, and drive new business. This is a highly active field role centered on direct outreach, face-to-face selling, and in-person presentations. You'll prospect, demo, close, and manage your own pipeline with full autonomy.
What This Role IS:
- Territory-based hunter: you own your market and build from scratch
- Highly active field role: daily driving, walking, standing, and face-to-face engagement
- Direct outreach: workplace visits, community events, and employer engagement
- Uncapped commission: top performers earn $200K+ annually
- Self-directed: you build your own pipeline and manage your own schedule
- Individual contributor: no management responsibilities
What This Role Is NOT:
- Inside sales or desk-based
- Account management or farming existing accounts
- Provider-facing (we do NOT sell to physicians)
- Inbound-only: you generate your own pipeline
Who You'll Sell To:
Public sector employees (police departments, fire departments, municipal agencies, school districts) and mid-size local employers. You'll sell access to a covered employee benefit. Decision-makers include managers, HR leaders, benefits administrators, union representatives, and municipal procurement. Direct outreach to employers, employees, and patients is a core part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and identify new opportunities through direct outreach, workplace visits, and community engagement
- Build and maintain client relationships with employers across your territory
- Conduct engaging sales presentations and demos to decision-makers and employee groups
- Host and participate at health fairs and workplace events
- Strategically plan daily activity, follow up consistently, and manage your pipeline independently
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Stay informed on local market conditions to identify growth opportunities
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of territory-based outside sales experience with documented new business development
- Proven ability to independently manage a sales pipeline, meet targets, and hold yourself accountable
- Experience closing deals with multiple stakeholders
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; comfortable driving daily across your territory
- Based within the Pittsburgh metropolitan area; ability to be physically present in your territory on a daily basis
- Demonstrated success in cold outreach and prospecting
- Comfortable with direct-to-employee interactions and in-person presentations
- Strategic, disciplined, and persistent in follow-up
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record selling to public sector or institutional buyers (police, municipal, education, union, government)
- Experience selling B2B benefits or employee wellness solutions to employers
- Existing relationships or book of business in the Pittsburgh region
Work Location:
This position is remote-based with daily in-person field work in your assigned territory. You will work from home between client visits and events.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Territory-based, must be located within the Pittsburgh metropolitan area)
Employment Type: Full-time, exempt
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
- Commission: Uncapped, on-target earnings (OTE) of $200,000 annually at 100% plan attainment

Physical Requirements:
Essential functions of this role require frequent walking, standing, driving, and outdoor activity throughout the workday. The role involves regular travel within the territory, attendance at health events, and in-person presentations. Reasonable accommodations may be available upon request.
