What You Will Do

 

Team Leadership:

  • Strategically steer a high-performing user experience organization, directly managing 6 expert product designers and a Design Manager who oversees the global design system to cultivate a culture of continuous development and high-impact execution.

  • Attract and elevate elite design talent across the broader Vista UX community, championing a progressive performance management framework that aligns career growth with enterprise milestones.

 

Design Craft and Quality:

  • Uphold exceptional design craft and visual standards across a global, multi-tenant digital ecosystem, introducing innovative, metrics-driven practices that elevate our design culture in a matrixed environment.

  • Operationalize comprehensive sub-functional strategies across six core foundational domains—including our Design System, Merchandising, My Account, and Ordering Experience—ensuring seamless cross-organizational scalability and transactional stability.

  • Partner closely with Content Design, UX Research, and Data teams to ensure a deeply holistic, end-to-end customer journey.

 

Lead High-Impact Strategic Problem Solving:

  • Serve as the operational anchor for the domain, translating high-level business goals into practical design plans to solve unique, highly ambiguous design challenges.

  • Partner as an equal peer alongside cross-functional Product and Engineering leaders to define roadmap priorities and proactively anticipate evolving e-commerce and marketplace landscapes.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executive leadership, executing compelling presentations that articulate sophisticated UX methodologies and champion the commercial impact of world-class design.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's or advanced graduate degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

  • Practical proficiency in modern collaborative design and prototyping tool suites (such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Working knowledge of service design principles, focusing on optimizing systemic cross-organizational operations to improve both user and employee experiences.

  • Solid foundational understanding of utilizing functional code or rapid prototyping to facilitate advanced user research and concept socialization.
