Job Description: Data Engineer – Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) & BI Specialist (Intermediate Level)

Project: – Project Sunshine

Role Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate-Level Data Engineer with expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Business Intelligence (BI) to support the Project Sunshine initiative. This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines and BI solutions that enable reliable, high-quality data delivery for analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Development
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Build and manage data integration workflows for ingesting and transforming data from multiple sources
• Develop reusable data integration components and frameworks
• Ensure data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance

Data Pipeline Operations & Support
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data pipelines (L2/L3 support)
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve data processing issues
• Manage job scheduling, execution, and failure recovery processes
• Ensure consistent and timely data availability across platforms

Data Modeling & Integration
• Support logical and physical data modeling aligned to enterprise standards
• Perform source-to-target mapping and define transformation logic
• Integrate data across enterprise systems and maintain data consistency
• Maintain metadata, data lineage, and documentation for pipelines and models

Business Intelligence & Reporting Support
• Support BI reporting tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Develop and optimize datasets for reporting and analytics
• Collaborate with BI developers to ensure accurate data delivery for dashboards
• Support performance optimization for reporting queries and semantic layers

Performance Optimization & Data Quality
• Optimize ETL processes and query performance to improve efficiency
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and reconciliation processes
• Identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies
• Continuously improve pipeline performance and reliability

Collaboration & Delivery
• Work closely with data architects, DBAs, BI developers, and business stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into technical data pipeline solutions
• Participate in Agile development processes and sprint cycles
• Support data platform modernization initiatives within Project Sunshine

Required Qualifications
• 3–6 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, or data integration roles
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Experience building and supporting enterprise data pipelines
• Strong experience working with large, complex datasets

Technical Skills
• Strong SQL and data integration expertise
• Experience with Oracle databases and data platforms
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and pipeline orchestration
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or similar)
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, Shell, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)
• Exposure to data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
• Experience supporting data modernization or migration initiatives
