About the role:

As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will be a key figure within the HR team in Aalst. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of payroll and will act as the point of contact for complex payroll and social security issues. Thanks to your expertise, you will help ensure a flawless payroll process and support the further optimisation of our HR processes.

What you’ll do:
Your responsibilities
  • You will manage the entire payroll for an assigned group of employees.
  • You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • You will monitor changes to social security legislation and implement them in the payroll processes.
  • You will be the point of contact for employees, managers and HR colleagues regarding complex payroll queries.
  • You will check and analyse payroll data and ensure accurate reporting.
  • You will assist with audits, social security inspections and statutory reporting.
  • You will identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to further digitise and optimise payroll processes.
Your profile
  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in HR, personnel management, accountancy or a similar field.
  • You have at least 10 years’ relevant experience in payroll.
  • You have a thorough knowledge of Belgian social legislation and payroll administration.
  • You are highly proficient in Excel.
  • You work accurately, discreetly and in a structured manner.
  • You have strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is certainly an advantage.
  • Experience in an international work environment is a great advantage 
  • Experience with SQL is an advantage.
  • Experience with Easypay payroll software is an advantage.
