Job description

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: Our client is a well-established Australian furniture and home living brand with over a decade of experience in the retail industry. Known for offering quality home furnishings and exceptional customer experiences, the business has built a strong reputation in the Australian market. As the company continues to grow, it is investing in its internal marketing function to strengthen its digital presence, enhance customer engagement, and drive sustainable online growth.

Role Overview: Our client is seeking a senior Digital Marketing Manager to take ownership of the company's digital marketing performance, with a primary focus on technical SEO and Google Ads. This role will be responsible for transitioning digital marketing activities from an external agency to an in-house function while driving measurable growth for an established Australian retail brand.

This is an opportunity for an experienced digital marketer to lead paid and organic search strategies, improve online performance, and make a direct impact on business growth. The successful candidate will be confident working independently, making data-driven decisions, and delivering measurable improvements across both SEO and paid advertising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and optimise Google Ads campaigns across Search, Shopping, Display, and Performance Max with a strong focus on ROAS, CPA, and budget management.
  • Develop and implement technical SEO strategies, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, structured data, page speed, and Core Web Vitals optimisation.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and content gap assessments to strengthen organic search performance.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and Google Ads.
  • Lead the transition of digital marketing responsibilities from the external agency to an in-house function.
  • Identify opportunities to improve website conversion rates across landing pages and product categories.
  • Stay up to date with search engine algorithm updates, Google Ads platform changes, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support broader marketing initiatives and contribute to the overall digital marketing strategy.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns and technical SEO.
  • Proven track record of improving ROAS, reducing CPA, and scaling paid search campaigns profitably.
  • Strong expertise in technical SEO, including crawl optimisation, indexation, structured data, site architecture, page speed, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Advanced experience with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads Editor.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently manage both paid and organic search.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within the Australian retail or e-commerce sector.
  • Experience managing Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram).
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog.
  • Experience with TikTok Ads and YouTube Ads.
  • Experience marketing furniture, homewares, or lifestyle brands.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with offline conversion tracking, call tracking, Google Ads store visit measurement, or using in-store sales data to evaluate and improve advertising performance.
