Role Overview

As an Independent Luxury Safari Travel Consultant, you will leverage your existing client network and industry expertise to design and sell bespoke African travel experiences. This role is ideal for experienced consultants who have built their own client base and are looking for the support, buying power, operational infrastructure, and supplier relationships of an established safari specialist.

You will be responsible for managing your client relationships from initial enquiry through to travel completion, while utilizing ASG's preferred supplier network, systems, and support structure to deliver seamless luxury travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow your existing portfolio of clients while cultivating new business opportunities
  • Design and sell tailor-made luxury safari and travel itineraries across Africa
  • Consult directly with clients to understand their travel preferences, requirements, and expectations
  • Utilize ASG's supplier network, negotiated rates, and destination expertise to create exceptional travel experiences
  • Liaise with lodges, camps, hotels, and industry partners to coordinate seamless travel arrangements
  • Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the entire client journey
  • Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Stay informed on destination updates, industry trends, new products, and travel regulations
  • Represent the ASG brand professionally while operating with a high degree of autonomy and entrepreneurial drive

Requirements

  • Requirements & Experience
    • Proven experience as a luxury travel consultant, preferably specializing in Southern and/or East Africa
    • Extensive knowledge of African safari destinations, lodges, camps, and luxury travel experiences
    • An established client base and a proven track record of generating repeat business and referrals
    • Demonstrated success in selling high-value, tailor-made travel experiences directly to clients
    • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to cultivate long-term client loyalty
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously
    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while leveraging the support and resources of a collaborative team
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growing your personal portfolio of clients
    • Genuine enthusiasm for African travel, wildlife, conservation, and delivering exceptional guest experiences
    • Comfortable managing the full client journey from initial consultation through to post-travel follow-up
