Working hours

Monday – Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Eastern

Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required, and occasional after-hours support may be needed based on client demands.

 

Location and travel requirements

This role requires up to 100% daily travel to client sites throughout the Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New Jersey suburbs as well as to NexusTek's Midtown Manhattan office. Typical schedules include supporting two client sites per day in approximately four-hour blocks. 

NOTE: This role requires that you to have access to a vehicle and maintain a current and valid driver's license.

Who you are

Proactive and independent technical expert who performs a variety of tier I technical support responsibilities, requiring a thorough working knowledge of information technology and infrastructure administration. You are a skilled communicator on all levels. Your meticulous attention to detail is shown through your timekeeping, documentation, and execution of the technical work.


You know how to: 

  • Provide first and second level consultative client support for desktops, mobile devices and server infrastructure. 
  • Accountable for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and billable hours. 
  • Work closely with project engineering, client services team, management team, and 3rd party vendors to resolve client’s technology issues.

  • Experience resolving technical problems and troubleshooting in a client/server environment
  • Windows Desktop Operating Systems
  • Windows Server 2016 to present
  • Workstation/Server Hardware
  • Peripheral Devices including Printers, Scanners, etc.
  • Networking including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, etc.
  • Cloud-Based and Virtualization Technologies
  • Common Client/Server Applications including Microsoft 365, Adobe, etc.
  • Windows 10 / 11
  • Mac (MacOS)
  • Networking Technologies
  • Server/PC Hardware Diagnostics
  • Microsoft 365 Provisioning and Support
  • Cloud-Based and Virtualization Technologies
  • MSP applications like ConnectWise, LabTech, and IT Glue desirable
  • Industry certifications(CompTIA A+ / Networking, M365 Endpoint Administrator, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals),bachelor's degree in computer Engineer, Computer Science, Information Systems are highly desirable.

 

Pay and Benefits:   

This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely with some travel.  

Estimated Starting Salary/Wage Range: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.  Note that the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)
