Position Overview

The Business Development Manager – Aerospace Adhesives drives business growth across the Aviation, Space, and Defense markets by identifying new opportunities, managing product qualifications, and expanding sales with OEMs and distribution partners. This role develops and executes commercial strategies that increase revenue, profitability, and market penetration for H.B. Fuller’s aerospace adhesive solutions. The position collaborates closely with Product Management, R&D, Marketing, and regional commercial teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and achieve sustainable growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a commercial growth strategy for the Aerospace Adhesives segment.

  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within Aviation, Space, and Defense markets.

  • Manage product qualification activities with aerospace OEMs, Tier suppliers, and distribution partners.

  • Meet or exceed annual targets for revenue growth, contribution margin, and strategic opportunities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines within SFDC.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, and R&D to develop customer-specific solutions and value propositions.

  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities and market trends.

  • Lead commercial negotiations and support contract discussions with strategic customers.

  • Represent H.B. Fuller at customer meetings, industry events, and trade associations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of technical sales, business development, or commercial experience.

  • Experience managing specification-driven sales processes within industrial or manufacturing markets.

  • Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and business development objectives.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, R&D, Product Management, and Marketing.

  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 75%, including domestic and international travel.

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce (SFDC).

Preferred Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience within the Aviation, Space, Defense, or Aerospace materials industry.

  • Experience selling adhesives, sealants, coatings, composites, or related engineered materials.

  • Knowledge of aerospace qualification processes, specifications, and OEM requirements.

  • Proficiency in French and/or German.

  • Technical background in chemistry, materials science, engineering, or a related discipline.
