Job description

Make an impact supporting the U.S. Department of Agriculture! Lynch Consultants is seeking a Loan Audit Specialist to support a federal agency with loan audit engagement and residential loan portfolios. We are looking for someone who is ready to take on meaningful challenges and make a measurable difference. If you're passionate about contributing to process development, support compliance, and oversight objectives then this role would be a great fit for you!

Salary: Up to $63,000yr.

 
Work Location and Schedule:

  • This position is fully remote; National Capital Region (DMV) preferred.

Required Qualifications – Must Have:

  • MUST have a bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, public administration or a related field.
  • MUST have 2-4 years of experience in banking, lending, loan servicing, credit analysis, or related financial document review. 
  • MUST be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal. Public Trust background clearance. 
  • MUST have experience with reviewing loan documents, agreements, and compliance materials with strong attention to detail. 
  • MUST have experience with review processes, checklists, SOPS, or audit frameworks.
  • MUST be proficient with productivity and digital tools, including the ability to use AI- enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with reviewing or underwriting federal loan programs (USDA Rural Development, RBCS, Single Family Housing, or Multi-Family housing preferred).
  • Familiarity with federal systems, government portals, or secure data environments.
  • Knowledge with audit, compliance, quality control, or risk management processes.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies or government contractors in a regulated environment. 
  • Ability to identify trends, risk indicators, or systemic issues and recommend process improvements.
