Job description

At Giambalvo, Stalzer & Company (GSCo), we offer a distinctiveopportunity to work with a wide variety of clients across multiple industries,gaining hands-on experience in both accounting and tax services. Responsibilities:

Conduct assurance engagementsincluding audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures
Gain a comprehensive understanding offirm policies, procedures, and software
Independently manage engagement tasksunder supervision, with minimal need for corrections
Prepare complete financial statementsand footnotes
Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasmin taking on challenging assignments
Develop strong analytical and taskmanagement skills
Begin building client advisorycapabilities and effectively communicate findings to managers and partners
Learn to train, supervise, and mentorjunior staff
Make ongoing progress toward CPAcertification
Stay informed on current events,including financial and industry news

Requirements

Desired Skills and ExperienceQualifications:

Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements, includingreview and compilation engagements
Strong knowledge of journal entries and month-end closing processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including directclient interaction
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
