Modernize Home Services is looking for a skilled and motivated Visual Designer to join our growing Design Team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our marketing efforts, concepting and executing design work that strengthens our brand, drives performance, and connects with homeowners and contractors alike. You'll collaborate closely with the Marketing team to deliver high-quality creative across a variety of channels, from digital ads and social media to landing pages and brand collateral. We're looking for someone who approaches their craft with an AI-first mindset, actively leveraging emerging tools to work smarter, move faster, and push creative boundaries. If you're a detail-oriented designer who loves a fast-paced environment and takes pride in work that both looks great and performs, we'd love to hear from you.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Concept and execute marketing design across paid social, digital advertising, email, and print
  • Design and maintain brand-consistent assets that support campaign and growth initiatives
  • Create social media content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok
  • Design landing pages, web banners, and other web-focused creative with an eye toward conversion
  • Support ongoing brand development by upholding and evolving visual standards across all touchpoints
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and other internal stakeholders to bring campaigns to life
  • Incorporate feedback effectively and use data and performance insights to refine creative decisions
  • Champion AI tools and workflows within the design team, proactively exploring new technologies and bringing actionable insights back to the broader marketing organization
  • Contribute ideas and energy to a collaborative, supportive design team

Requirements

 

Must-Haves:
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of marketing and brand design work
  • 2–4 years of professional graphic design experience (agency or in-house)
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools: Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva
  • Solid understanding of typography, color, composition, and layout
  • An appreciation for how design impacts performance and conversion
  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to present and defend creative decisions
  • A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • A genuine AI-first approach to design, with hands-on experience using AI tools in a creative or marketing context and a drive to continuously explore what is possible
  • Familiarity with AI tools including Midjourney, Gemini, and Claude, and a track record of putting them to practical use in a design or marketing workflow
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience creating animations or motion graphics (After Effects or similar)
  • Familiarity with web design principles and an understanding of how design translates to the web
  • Experience designing landing pages
  • An interest in or understanding of UX/UI and user-centered design
