Shift Timings: We have two shifts in this (3 pm to 12 am and 6 pm to 3 am), 5 days per week; alternate Saturdays working – mid-week off.

About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned editorial professional to lead our newsroom at The Royal Observer, overseeing coverage of the British royal family, celebrity news, and related lifestyle stories. This role involves managing a dynamic team of writers and editors, driving editorial strategy, and ensuring timely, engaging, and high-quality content for a global audience.
The ideal candidate has a strong editorial background, exceptional news judgment, experience managing digital newsrooms, and a genuine interest in the British royal family, celebrity culture, and U.S. entertainment news.

  • Analyze content performance and audience insights to refine editorial strategy and maximize readership.
  • Ensure all content is thoroughly fact-checked and adheres to editorial guidelines and publishing standards.
  • Mentor writers and editors, providing regular feedback to strengthen editorial quality and team performance.
  • Collaborate with social media, SEO, and audience teams to optimize content distribution and engagement.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom.
