QA Test Lead

Contract Length: Through January 2027

Join a collaborative technology team focused on delivering high-quality software solutions through comprehensive testing and quality assurance. We are seeking an experienced QA Test Lead to drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), API integration testing, and end-to-end quality processes while partnering closely with product owners, developers, and project stakeholders.

QA Test Lead Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, strategy, and execution of testing activities for software projects.
• Verify the quality and testability of business and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Perform and coordinate API integration testing to ensure reliable system interoperability.
• Configure test environments and validate test execution results.
• Coordinate testing activities with Product Owners, QA Leads, and Project Managers.
• Facilitate testing meetings and provide UAT training to project teams and stakeholders.
• Lead defect triage sessions, coordinate fixes with Development teams, and manage retesting efforts.
• Review and validate defect reports, communicate testing status, and produce defect metrics and summary reports.
• Maintain the Test Traceability Matrix and oversee testing documentation from project intake through closeout.
• Support Integrated Change Control processes and document lessons learned.
• Collaborate with testing tool vendors to maximize testing effectiveness.
• Stay current with emerging QA methodologies, automation practices, and testing tools while sharing knowledge with the team.

QA Test Lead Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Experience leading software testing initiatives and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Strong understanding of API integration testing and software testing methodologies.
• Experience developing testing strategies, goals, test plans, and test designs.
• Proven ability to create and maintain test scripts, test data, and testing documentation.
• Experience with defect management, root cause analysis, triage, and test reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional teams.
• Experience maintaining Test Traceability Matrices and coordinating testing documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Experience using Postman and GitHub.
• Knowledge of Python and/or C#.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and modern QA best practices.
