Job description

The QA Certification role is responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of software releases by executing manual testing activities during sanity, certification, and regression testing cycles. This role collaborates closely with the QA and Development teams to validate application functionality, identify and report defects, maintain test assets, and support the successful certification of software releases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, sanity, and certification testing for all software releases.
  • Identify, document, and report defects during certification testing, and work with the Development team to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Maintain and update certification and regression test cases using JIRA/Xray.
  • Support the QA team by creating, maintaining, and executing manual test cases.
  • Execute test cases during sanity and certification testing to validate release readiness.
  • Identify and maintain the test profiles required for sanity, certification, and regression testing.
  • Validate testing environments prior to test execution to ensure readiness.
  • Perform impact analysis to determine the appropriate regression testing scope for each release.
  • Support testing activities for special projects, enhancements, and other QA initiatives as assigned.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, documentation, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in manual software testing, including functionality, regression, sanity, and certification testing.
  • Experience using JIRA and Xray for test management and defect tracking.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Experience performing regression impact analysis and test planning.
