The Manager, Lifecycle Marketing (Engagement) will lead go-to-market lifecycle campaigns for Discovery+, with a focus on driving content engagement at scale. This role will use CRM channels as the primary lever to activate subscribers into new and priority titles while sustaining engagement through effective use of editorial, personalization, and library programming.
Success will be defined by the ability to efficiently match audiences to content, increase engagement depth, and keep active subscribers consistently viewing.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
- Lead CRM strategy and execution for title go-to-market campaigns, ensuring strong activation into new and priority content
- Develop scalable audience segmentation frameworks to efficiently match subscribers with relevant titles
- Design and launch customer journeys that extend beyond premiere moments, sustaining engagement through editorial, library, and personalized recommendations
- Partner with Content, Editorial, Product, and Analytics teams to align campaign strategies with programming priorities
- Brief and execute multi-channel CRM campaigns (Email, Push, In-App) in partnership with Creative and CRM Ops teams
- Identify opportunities to increase engagement depth and frequency through lifecycle interventions and content sequencing
- Build and execute testing strategy to optimize targeting, messaging, timing, and content merchandising
- Monitor campaign and content-level performance, translating insights into actionable optimization plans
- Communicate performance and insights to stakeholders, connecting campaign outcomes to broader engagement KPIs
Must Have Skills / Requirements
- Comfortability with large data sets
a. 5+ years; Excel, smartsheet, etc.; Ability to analyze data.
- Excellent Communication skills (Written & Verbal)
a. 5+ years; working closely with external partners and internal stakeholders. Ability to lead and develop presentations.
- Visual storytelling experience
a. 5+ years; PowerPoint or other deck building experience.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
- Passion for streaming, entertainment, or subscription-based products is a plus
- SQL, Python, or other coding language skillsets.
- Competency in AI/ML (e.g. Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, CoPilot, etc.)
- Passion for content, entertainment, and audience behavior is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Experience launching and optimizing campaign-led go-to-market strategies for content, products, or features
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and audience strategy at scale
- Data-driven mindset with ability to translate insights into engagement strategies
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Technology Requirements:
- Strong experience building and optimizing customer journeys using CRM tools (e.g., Braze, Salesforce, Adobe)
