Overview:

As a Back End Software Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and operating technical services that provide digital touchpoints for hoteliers and partners. You will take ownership of software products throughout the entire lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and operate software products as part of a cross-functional team
  • Take full ownership of applications throughout their lifecycle, from conception to operation
  • Develop resilient, high-performing cloud-native applications in an AWS environment
  • Leverage AWS services and cloud design patterns within a microservices architecture
  • Implement and maintain resource-oriented APIs on both client and server side
  • Contribute to automation initiatives and drive high-quality engineering practices
  • Select the most appropriate tools and technologies to solve business and technical challenges efficiently
  • Research, evaluate, and test new approaches and technologies in collaboration with domain Practice Teams and Group Enabler Teams
  • Share ideas and contribute to technical discussions, turning concepts into practical outcomes
  • Promote technical excellence, ownership, and self-organisation within the team
  • Ensure security remains an integral part of all development activities
  • Collaborate effectively within an international and multicultural environment

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Java, including solid knowledge of Java 11+ and related ecosystems
  • Experience working with Spring Boot and RESTful Services
  • Fundamental knowledge of AI technologies and related tools, particularly Kiro, and experience applying them throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience implementing REST and GraphQL APIs on both client and server side
  • Strong expertise in AWS, including cloud design, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native application development
  • Experience designing, building, testing, and deploying applications in cloud environments
  • Good experience with CI/CD practices; experience with GitLab CI is preferred
  • Professional experience with microservice-based software development; Kubernetes experience is desirable
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality digital products and services
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
