About the Position
The Engagement Manager is a client-facing leader responsible for managing and delivering complex, multi-faceted projects with minimal oversight. This role requires robust strategic insight, high levels of independence, and strong commercial acumen to ensure exceptional client impact across the APAC region. Senior Engagement Managers drive project delivery with limited support, while effectively balancing multiple workstreams and enhancing client relationships.

As a result, Engagement Managers must operate not only as exceptional client leaders and problem solvers, but also as highly collaborative internal integrators who can effectively leverage the firm’s full intellectual capital, subject matter expertise, and research capabilities.
About You
Successful Engagement Managers are expected to build strong cross-functional relationships across the organization’s strategic insights and commercial teams to ensure every engagement incorporates the most relevant market intelligence, proprietary learnings, and analytical perspectives available across the firm.
Because of this embedded model, Engagement Managers play a critical role in connecting consulting delivery with the organization’s broader thought leadership, methodologies, and commercial priorities. They are expected to proactively integrate existing research, data assets, and industry expertise into client engagements to enhance strategic impact and delivery quality.
The role also requires strong internal and external relationship management, balancing client expectations while coordinating effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders. Successful Engagement Managers thrive in collaborative environments and consistently bring together the firm’s best capabilities to deliver differentiated client outcomes.

What To Expect In This Position
Problem Solving & Innovation
Lead the diagnosis of complex client challenges, often with ambiguous or incomplete inputs.
Structure and oversee problem-solving approaches, ensuring hypotheses are clear, MECE, and aligned with client objectives.
Drive innovative thinking across the team, elevating the quality and creativity of solutions.
Research & Analysis
Oversee research design, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and hypotheses.
Guide teams in synthesizing qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, compelling narratives.
Ensure all outputs meet the highest standards of accuracy, rigor, and clarity.
Provide direction on vendor selection and manage external research partnerships when needed.
Data & Methodology
Translate complex datasets into strategic insights with clear business implications.
Own and refine project methodologies, adapting approaches to fit unique client contexts.
Ensure consistent application of best practices across teams and mentor others in advanced analytical techniques.
Recommendations & Deliverables
Own the development of final recommendations, ensuring they are actionable, strategic, and tied to measurable impact.
Ensure all deliverables meet executive-level standards (clarity, structure, storytelling, and polish).
Deliver key messages confidently to senior stakeholders, including C-suite audiences.
Industry & Methodology Expertise
Demonstrate deep expertise in relevant industries and market dynamics.
Continuously refine and evolve firm methodologies based on project learnings.
Act as a thought partner to clients on broader strategic topics beyond immediate project scope.
Client Engagement & Communication
Serve as the primary day-to-day client lead, building strong, trusted relationships.
Lead client meetings, workshops, and executive presentations.
Proactively manage client expectations, identify scope changes, and drive alignment on next steps.
Proposal Development & Commercial Impact
Support the development of proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and clear articulation of value.
Identify opportunities for account growth and contribute to business development efforts.
Translate client challenges into compelling, commercially viable solutions.
Project Management & Team Leadership
Own overall project planning, timelines, and resource allocation across workstreams.
Anticipate risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Lead and develop teams, providing coaching, feedback, and performance management.
Drive accountability, efficiency, and high performance across the team.
Development & Culture
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering growth and capability building.
Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
Contribute to internal initiatives, trainings, and knowledge sharing.
What Sets You Apart
4+ years of consulting experience.
Proven ability to lead complex, multi-workstream projects and deliver high-impact client outcomes.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, including executive presence.
Demonstrated experience in business development and proposal writing.
Deep expertise in research methodologies, data analysis, and industry trends.
Ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
