Summary of the Job:

 

This role is responsible for driving business development and new partnership growth for financial institution card programs across the enterprise. This role partners closely with the SVP, Business Development to define and execute the FI strategy, including prospecting, partnership structuring, pricing, and go-to-market initiatives that drive new account acquisition, portfolio growth, and fee income.

They will also play a key role in shaping FI product strategy, ensuring programs deliver compelling value propositions, differentiated customer experiences, and strong financial performance for both FNBO and its FI partners.

About This Role:

 

Business Development & Partnership Growth

  • Build and grow a portfolio of financial institutions credit card partners
  • Establish and manage key relationships with executives and decision-makers at partner organizations.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new  financial institutions credit card partnership opportunities aligned to growth strategy.
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute partnership agreements, including financial terms, marketing commitments, and performance expectations.
  • Leverage sales tools, pipeline management, and CRM systems to track opportunities and ensure data accuracy.

Cross-Functional Program Development & Execution

  • Partner with Product, Risk, Marketing, and Operations to design and launch new card programs.
  • Develop business cases and prioritize product enhancements based on partner needs, market trends, and financial impact.
  • Maintain competitive insights and industry knowledge to inform product roadmaps and innovation.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between partners and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Drive alignment on priorities, timelines, and performance goals to maximize partnership outcomes.

Partner Engagement & Representation

  • Represent the organization at industry events, partner meetings, and key relationship touchpoints.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration, and accountability across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build a reputation as a trusted partner and subject matter expert in financial institution credit card programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services industry, banking, credit cards or related
  • Established network and reputation within the financial services industry
  • Strong relationship management and business development skills
  • Frequent travel

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

 

Compensation range (base pay): $81,662.00-$134,741.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work remotely, offering you the freedom to contribute to our mission from wherever you work best, without compromising on career growth or connection to our team. Regardless of your location, you'll be fully integrated into our team through robust digital collaboration tools and regular communication. The incumbent can work remotely from any of the states listed on the job posting, though occasional travel may be required for in-person meetings. Please note, work location is subject to change based on business needs.
