The Revenue Accountant is a key contributor to the accurate recording and reporting of the Company’s revenue transactions. The individual is expected to be proficient in software revenue recognition and must have strong overall revenue review and organisational skills. An appropriate candidate will be highly analytical, have an excellent working knowledge of general sales / revenue transaction recording and function proficiently with varying day to day task volume. This individual is also expected to identify, review and communicate revenue related implications on customer contracts and operational processing requirements to the sales and order management teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Finance experience part qualified or similar - training in a software company desirable
• Knowledge of and / or interest in learning the application of US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Proficient in accounting software / ERP  & CRM systems - SAP & Salesforce preferred
• Fluent in German and English, French language skills desirable.
• Strong communicator with organisational and analytical / documentation skills
• Experience in a fast paced environment where customer focus and reliable accurate response time to internal users a must
• Experience in analysing contracts and applying knowledge to a variety of customer scenarios
• Proficient in analytical tools such as pivot tables and advanced excel functions
• Effective communication and issue escalation
• Interest in AI driven solutions and continuous improvement of processed and procedures

Responsibilities

• Reviewing customer contracts and advising the sales team on revenue implications
• Posting transactions to SAP after critical analysis to ensure revenue recognition is correctly applied
• Keeping up to date with the latest product offerings and understanding the revenue recognition implications
• Understand, apply and implement US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition policies and methodologies in conformance with current FASB and SEC guidance
• Working with the order management team on issues arising from the processing of customer contracts
• Responsible for the unbilled revenue reconciliation and short term, long term analysis.
• Assist in any revenue tasks pertaining to company acquisitions
• Ad hoc projects and tasks as required
