Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized Legal Case Manager to support a solo family law attorney based in Arizona. This role is responsible for managing case workflows, tracking deadlines, preparing and reviewing legal documents, organizing case files, coordinating with clients, and supporting day-to-day legal operations.

The role primarily supports family law matters, including divorce, child custody, parenting plans, child support, spousal maintenance, and related domestic relations cases. The ideal candidate has experience supporting U.S. legal matters (preferred) or litigation, is highly organized, and can confidently communicate with clients while understanding the boundaries of providing legal information versus legal advice.

The successful candidate should be comfortable using AI-assisted tools to prepare and review legal documents and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Job Details:

  • Work set up: Work from Home
  • Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday | 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM Philippine Time (aligned with Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Arizona Time)
  • Holiday: Will follow US holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and organize legal documents, contracts, disclosure statements, discovery materials, pre-trial documents, and other case-related documents using AI-assisted tools, established templates, and attorney instructions.
  • Review AI-generated legal documents for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and consistency before attorney review.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of disclosure and discovery materials, including reviewing documents, organizing and labeling exhibits, preparing exhibit lists, and tracking outstanding discovery requests and responses.
  • Manage and monitor active legal cases to ensure deadlines, court requirements, and case milestones are met.
  • Track court deadlines, maintain attorney calendars, and follow up on pending tasks to keep cases moving efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain legal documents, evidence, case files, and client records.
  • Prepare and assist with Arizona court forms and support electronic court filing (e-filing) processes as required.
  • Coordinate with clients to request missing documents and provide general case status updates.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients regarding routine case updates and administrative inquiries, escalating legal questions to the attorney when appropriate.
  • Support contract preparation and review.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and update case management systems.
  • Assist in managing multiple active cases while ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform administrative and operational support duties as needed to support a growing legal practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience supporting U.S. legal matters is highly preferred.
  • Experience in litigation is required; U.S. litigation experience is preferred, while Philippine litigation experience may also be considered.
  • Experience as a Legal Case Manager, Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Litigation Assistant, or in a similar legal support role.
  • Experience with disclosure and discovery management, exhibit preparation, litigation document organization, or similar legal support functions.
  • Familiarity with Arizona court forms, electronic court filing (e-filing) platforms, or similar U.S. court filing systems is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes, case management, legal documentation, and court deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Comfortable communicating professionally with clients through phone and email.
  • Experience using AI tools to assist with legal document preparation and review is an advantage.
  • Experience with Clio or other legal case management software is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
