Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a specialty in Psychiatry
Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Oregon (or willingness to obtain via interstate compact/expedited pathways)
Active, unrestricted DEA registration and Prescription Monitoring Program (PDMP) access
Minimum of 3 years of experience providing behavioral health care using evidence-based practices
Requirements:
Lead peer interviews and clinical evaluations for incoming psychiatric and advanced practice nursing candidates
Monitor clinical documentation timelines, quality benchmarks, and performance standards within the psychiatric network
Act as the primary clinical point of contact for complex client complaints or quality-of-care disputes
Provide high-quality psychiatric evaluations and medication management via telehealth

Location: Remote (Must reside in an eligible U.S. state) Availability: Monday β Friday (Approx. 40 hours/week) Engagement Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Total Earning Potential: Up to $6,000.00 weekly | Up to $312,000.00 annually Medical Licensure: MD or DO (Psychiatry) with an active Oregon medical license, or eligible to obtain Oregon licensure via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

Position Summary Brightways is looking for an experienced, operationally minded Consulting Psychiatrist to anchor our psychiatric division and serve as a clinical training and quality lead for our network. This contract role is ideal for a medical provider who wants to pair an efficient clinical practice with high-impact organizational leadership. Your 10 hours of weekly leadership time are focused heavily on talent acquisition, clinical accountability, risk mitigation, and maintaining the highest standards of care across the network. The remaining 30 hours are dedicated to high-efficiency, direct outpatient (mild to moderate) client care.

What Youβll Do Practice Leadership & Practice Optics (Average 10 Hours per Week)
Hiring & Talent Vetting: Lead peer interviews and clinical evaluations for incoming psychiatric and advanced practice nursing candidates.
Performance Accountability & Concerns: Monitor clinical documentation timelines, quality benchmarks, and performance standards within the psychiatric network.
Client Complaints & Escalations: Act as the primary clinical point of contact for complex client complaints or quality-of-care disputes.
Clinical Coverage: Provide secondary medication reviews and refill support during peak volume, clinician time-off, or offboarding transitions.
Other Duties: Support practice optics and quality standards, training and audit supplementation, and other duties and special projects as needed to support practice operations.
High-Efficiency Clinical Care (up to 30 Hours per Week)
Deliver high-quality psychiatric evaluations and medication management via telehealth.
Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner to align with weekly payment tracking.
