About Brightways:
Brightways Counseling Group is a behavioral health organization committed to breaking down barriers and getting help to the community now. We believe clinicians should be able to practice efficiently without being weighed down by administrative tasks. Our goal is to make independent practice simple, flexible, and financially rewarding for providers who value autonomy, clinical integrity, and modern infrastructure.

Position Summary
Brightways is looking for an experienced, operationally minded Consulting Psychiatrist to anchor our psychiatric division and serve as a clinical training and quality lead for our network. This contract role is ideal for a medical provider who wants to pair an efficient clinical practice with high-impact organizational leadership.
Your 10 hours of weekly leadership time are focused heavily on talent acquisition, clinical accountability, risk mitigation, and maintaining the highest standards of care across the network. The remaining 30 hours are dedicated to high-efficiency, direct outpatient (mild to moderate) client care.

Why Contract With Brightways?
  • Weekly Pay: Get paid every week for your completed contract hoursβ€”no waiting on insurance reimbursement timelines.
  • Hybrid Compensation Model: Enjoy a guaranteed flat rate for leadership hours paired with high-yield, per-session reimbursement for clinical care.
  • Full Administrative Support: Our team handles all client referrals, pre-screening, scheduling, billing, claims submission, credentialing, and provides your EHR/telehealth platforms. You focus on care and clinical leadership; we handle the rest.

What You’ll Do
Practice Leadership & Practice Optics (Average 10 Hours per Week)
  • Hiring & Talent Vetting: Lead peer interviews and clinical evaluations for incoming psychiatric and advanced practice nursing candidates.
  • Performance Accountability & Concerns: Monitor clinical documentation timelines, quality benchmarks, and performance standards within the psychiatric network.
  • Client Complaints & Escalations: Act as the primary clinical point of contact for complex client complaints or quality-of-care disputes.
  • Clinical Coverage: Provide secondary medication reviews and refill support during peak volume, clinician time-off, or offboarding transitions.
  • Other Duties: Support practice optics and quality standards, training and audit supplementation, and other duties and special projects as needed to support practice operations.

High-Efficiency Clinical Care (up to 30 Hours per Week)
  • Deliver high-quality psychiatric evaluations and medication management via telehealth.
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner to align with weekly payment tracking.
  • Manage complex, inter-session medication overrides, pharmacy issues, and urgent clinical escalations.

    • Includes 10 hours per week at $150.00/hour (5 scheduled, 5 floating for flexible leadership and admin).

    • 99215 - $62.50
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a specialty in Psychiatry.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Oregon (or willingness to obtain via interstate compact/expedited pathways).
  • Active, unrestricted DEA registration and Prescription Monitoring Program (PDMP) access.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing behavioral health care using evidence-based practices.
  • Comfort and mastery navigating a streamlined, high-efficiency outpatient clinical schedule.
  • Must reside in an eligible U.S. state for contracting (currently unable to contract with clinicians residing in CA, NY, MA, NJ, or DE).
