We are committed to building a more sustainable future and recognise that a diverse workforce is vital to our growth and advancement. We aim to promote a culture that values openness, transparency and individual achievement.

At the centre of our actions lies the responsibility for the environment. As the front runner on the path to carbon neutrality and circular economy in the building materials industry, we are working on sustainable building materials and solutions for the future. We enable new opportunities for our customers through digitalisation.

Senior Process Transformation Manager

Location: Chipping Sodbury (Hybrid working) flexibility to work from home when there’s no need for in‑person meetings or specific on‑site project demands

Salary - We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and are happy to share details on request with interested candidates.

Purpose of the role

The Heidelberg Materials (HM) International Business Service Centre (BSC) provides administrative, transactional, and accounting services to in-scope HM companies. The Senior Transformation Managers will work to re-engineer end to end processes and systems, to support delivery of the Heidelberg Materials synergies and automation roadmap.

As a Senior Process Transformation Manager, you will lead end-to-end transformation design and delivery, driving meaningful change across the business. You will influence at senior levels, shaping AI and digital adoption into clear, value-driven plans that deliver measurable outcomes.

Acting as a trusted Transformation SME, you will bring a deep understanding of how processes operate today and how they must evolve to support future business needs. You will coach and develop teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

You will apply strong, journey-based thinking to reimagine processes—shifting the focus from functional silos to integrated experiences, value creation, and business outcomes. Leveraging your understanding of in-country ways of working, you will challenge assumptions, reduce complexity, and remove friction across end-to-end journeys. With a holistic view of how people, processes, data, and technology interact, you will ensure that process redesign is practical, scalable, and sustainable. You will play a key role in simplifying operating models and embedding change that delivers long-term impact.

Key accountabilities

Transformation Expertise

  • Acts as a senior Transformation Subject Matter Expert, bringing deep understanding of how processes operate today and how they should be redesigned to support future business outcomes.

  • Applies strong end‑to‑end, journey‑based thinking to re‑imagine processes around value, experience, and outcomes rather than functional silos.

  • Leverages understanding of in‑country ways of working to challenge assumptions, reduce complexity, and remove friction across end‑to‑end journeys.

  • Brings insight into how people, process, data, and technology interact, ensuring process redesign is practical, sustainable, and scalable.

End‑to‑End Process Redesign & Transformation Delivery

  • Leads the design and delivery of transformational change, working closely with the Head of Transformation, Global Process Owners, and business teams.

  • Uses appropriate transformation and service‑design methodologies to move beyond incremental improvement and fundamentally reshape how processes work.

  • Partners with Global Process and Digital teams to identify, assess, and shape adoption of AI‑enabled and emerging technologies, translating opportunity into clear, value‑driven delivery plans.

  • Challenges existing ways of working constructively, supporting the organisation to move toward simpler, more intuitive, and future‑ready operating models.

Stakeholder Influence & Change Enablement

  • Acts as a senior transformation partner and coach across the BSC, Digital, and wider Group, enabling shared ownership of change.

  • Influences senior stakeholders, including SteerCo and cross‑country project teams, to align behind future‑state designs and strategic outcomes.

  • Supports teams through complex change by coaching, facilitation, and structured problem‑solving, building confidence and momentum.

  • Plays a key role in ensuring transformation initiatives deliver intended outcomes, managing ambiguity and evolving priorities effectively.

Coaching, Capability & Ways of Working

  • Acts as a coach and role model for transformation ways of working, encouraging curiosity, innovation, and evidence‑based decision‑making.

  • Supports colleagues to adopt new mindsets, tools, and approaches required for AI‑enabled and digitally led change.

  • Works flexibly within an agile transformation environment, adapting approach and focus to meet changing demands and opportunities.

Financial & Non-Financial accountabilities (capture size of role e.g. budget responsibility)

  • Responsible for re-engineering of process across multiple countries and systems.

  • Coaching of a team of Transformation Analysts (Grades 10 – 13) working across a wide range of projects.
