What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle: capitalization, transfers, disposals, write-offs, and impairment assessments in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 360).

  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness against the general ledger.

  • Calculate and record monthly depreciation for all asset classes (GPU hardware, data center infrastructure, leasehold improvements, furniture & fixtures, and software).

  • Partner with Supply Chain and DC Ops teams to evaluate capital vs. expense treatment for new hardware and infrastructure purchases.

  • Prepare and review fixed asset roll-forward schedules, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation for monthly and quarterly close.

  • Support external audit requests related to fixed assets, including providing schedules, reconciliations, and explanations of accounting positions.

  • Assist in the development and enforcement of the company’s capitalization policy and related accounting procedures.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to the fixed asset tracking and close processes, leveraging automation where possible.

  • Collaborate with Tax to provide fixed asset data for tax depreciation schedules and support tax provision work.

  • Assist in financial statement disclosures related to PP&E as part of the quarterly and annual reporting process.

You

  • Have 5+ years of fixed asset or general ledger accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a high-growth technology or infrastructure company.

  • Have strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 360 (PP&E), ASC 350-40 (internal-use software), and ASC 842 (leases).

  • Have experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle); experience with fixed asset subledger modules is a plus.

  • Bring strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Are an effective communicator who can clearly explain accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a hardware-intensive technology company (data centers, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, or similar).

  • Familiarity with GPU or compute hardware procurement and asset tracking.

  • Experience with FloQast or a similar close management tool.

  • Prior involvement in audit readiness or preparation for an IPO or fundraising process.

  • Hold a CPA license or are on the CPA track.
