Great Minds

K-12 Education

A group of education leaders founded Great Minds in 2007 to define and encourage knowledge-rich, comprehensive education for all American schoolchildren. In pursuit of that mission, Great Minds brings teachers together with scholars to craft exemplary instructional materials and share them with the field. Great Minds’ Eureka Math curriculum has earned top ratings by independent reviewers for teaching math as a body of knowledge, not just a set of skills. Eureka Math also is known as EngageNY Math. Wit & Wisdom is a rich English language arts curriculum that taps the power of literature, history, and science to build knowledge of intriguing topics while teaching reading comprehension and writing. Aligned to the latest science standards, PhD Science inspires students to wonder about the world and empowers them to make sense of it with hands-on investigation and modeling. Geodes books for early readers inject knowledge about fascinating subjects into beautifully illustrated books, cultivating joyful reading and learning from the outset of education.

Job description

Who We Are

Great Minds is a high-growth, mission-driven organization founded by educators in 2007. As a for-profit, Public Benefit Corporation, we believe all students deserve access to meaningful, challenging content—and all teachers deserve tools that are intuitive, effective, and built for the realities of today’s classrooms.

We develop high-quality, knowledge-rich math, science and ELA curricula grounded in research and designed in collaboration with educators. Our materials reflect real classroom needs and are built to drive lasting student outcomes.

We are committed to usability, coherence, and practical implementation—supporting teachers not just through curriculum, but with professional learning, purposeful technology, and responsive service that enable strong adoption and impact.

What We Build

Our products—Eureka Math and Eureka Math², Wit & Wisdom, PhD Science, Geodes, and the newly launched Arts & Letters ELA—are trusted by thousands of schools and districts nationwide.

  • Eureka Math is the most widely used math curriculum in the U.S., and is focused on balancing conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application.

  • Wit & Wisdom® and Arts & Letters ELA™ anchor our reading strategy with content-rich, grade-level instruction that integrates literature, history, and the arts, grounded in the science of reading. Geodes® complements our reading suite with decodable texts that pair phonics with meaningful content to support early literacy.

  • PhD Science is a hands-on K-5 Science program that sparks curiosity as students build enduring knowledge of how the scientific world works.

These programs reflect a shared belief in high expectations, joyful rigor, and deep respect for educators and students.

Where We’re Headed

Great Minds is entering a new stage of growth and product maturity. We are focused on building more connected, customer-informed experiences across the full educator journey—from curriculum to professional learning to platform and support.

Our long-term vision is to become a true partner in impact—not just delivering curriculum, but supporting educators in achieving outcomes at scale.

Job Purpose

Reporting to Senior Managing Counsel, the Senior Contracts Administrator will effectively manage, monitor, and report contracts with various parties including suppliers, customers, contractors, and vendors of goods and services. This role will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, revising and executing routine agreements and forms, internal and external-facing communications, record-keeping and maintenance of contracts, and coordinating communication with business partners regarding contract compliance, terminations, renewals, and deliverables. The Senior Contracts Administrator will serve as a senior resource within the contracts function, acting as an escalation point for contract resolution issues prior to attorney involvement. As part of Great Minds’ Legal team, the position is expected to provide guidance to Contract and Legal team members, support process improvements, oversee contract management system functionality, and ensure successful and effective contract administration practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts end-to-end, from drafting and negotiation through execution and closeout, ensuring outcomes align with business objectives.

  • Maintain proactive visibility into contract milestones, renewals, and obligations across the portfolio, surfacing risk exposure and time-sensitive decisions to stakeholders before they become issues.

  • Address disputes, delays, or breaches by coordinating with internal teams and external partners. Serve as the primary escalation point for contract issues and coordinate escalation to attorneys as needed for complex or high-risk considerations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into contract content that supports long-term strategic goals.

  • Review and verify all contract information and documentation for accuracy, recognizing that the executed contract serves as the official record.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly contract reporting to the Senior Managing Counsel.

  • Manage requests for Certificates of Insurance (COI).

  • Own the contract retention and amendment process, partnering with project managers to assess business needs and execute changes that protect organizational interests.

  • Identify and recommend improvements to contract management processes, templates, and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

  • Support the Senior Managing Counsel in documenting workflows and implementing new tools and operational initiatives, as needed.
