About job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and scaling critical infrastructure for a product used by hundreds of thousands of users. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop robust APIs, scalable systems, and backend solutions that directly enhance user experiences. This role involves writing efficient code, optimizing existing infrastructure, and making key architectural decisions to shape the direction of the platform and product.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will actively contribute to technical planning and code reviews, taking initiative in improving and evolving the platform. You will work autonomously with frontend and mobile engineers to deliver high-quality features and services. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in designing and building distributed backend systems, familiarity with blockchain technologies, and a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and Optimize Backend Systems: Write clean, efficient code to develop new services and features, while identifying bottlenecks and optimizing existing infrastructure to ensure scalability and performance.
2. Architectural Decision-Making: Shape the direction of the platform by making critical architectural decisions that drive product innovation and system improvements.
3. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with frontend and mobile engineers as part of an autonomous team, ensuring seamless product development and integration of backend solutions.
4. Technical Planning and Code Reviews: Participate in the planning of technical tasks, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure the quality of the codebase by adhering to best practices.
5. Continuous Improvement and Growth: Contribute to the ongoing improvement and evolution of the platform, taking initiative to identify areas for growth and driving enhancements to the product.

Requirements

1. 5+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in designing and building distributed backend systems, with a solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
2. Proficiency in Golang: Strong knowledge of Golang, with hands-on experience in building scalable and efficient backend services.
3. Familiarity with Blockchain Technologies: Experience with blockchain systems, decentralized applications (dApps), and smart contracts is highly desirable.
4. Experience with Databases and Containerization: Proficient in working with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB) and containerized systems (Docker & Kubernetes).
5. Experience with Monitoring and Cloud Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana, as well as experience with cloud services like AWS (Amazon Web Services).
