Full-time | Berlin, Germany | Hybrid

Shape the commercial growth of one of Germany's fastest-growing digital marketplaces.

On behalf of our client, an ambitious and rapidly scaling German online marketplace, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who thrives on building partnerships, winning new business and driving commercial success.

This is not a traditional sales role.

You'll join at an exciting stage of growth in a newly created position, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll have a real voice in commercial strategy, significant ownership over your market and the opportunity to influence how the business grows.

What you'll do
  • Own the complete business development cycle - from identifying opportunities and opening conversations to negotiating and closing strategic partnerships.
  • Build and execute a scalable go-to-market and sales strategy for the German market.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and become a strategic partner rather than simply a vendor.
  • Consult clients on marketplace and retail media solutions, creating tailored commercial propositions that deliver measurable value.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships and maximise long-term revenue.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activities and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to continuously improve the commercial offering.
What we're looking for
  • 2–5+ years of successful experience in Business Development, Sales or Key Account Management.
  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, digital platforms or another fast-paced technology-driven environment is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of consistently winning new business and owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through to signed contracts.
  • A genuine hunter mindset - you enjoy building pipelines, creating opportunities and exceeding ambitious targets.
  • Strong commercial judgement, excellent negotiation skills and confidence communicating with senior stakeholders.
  • Business-fluent or native-level German and professional English.
  • An entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
