Position Overview

This role is ideal for an attorney looking to grow an established practice, increase earning potential, and leverage the resources of a respected firm while maintaining autonomy over their caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution.
  
• Handle cases involving divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony, and protective orders.
  
• Transition and expand an existing portable book of business within the firm's platform.
  
• Continue developing client relationships and referral sources throughout the Maryland market.
  
• Represent clients in court, mediations, and settlement negotiations across Maryland.
  
• Provide strategic legal counsel while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
  
• Collaborate with firm leadership to support continued growth and market expansion throughout Maryland.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
  
• Active Maryland Bar license in good standing.
  
• Five or more years of family law experience.
  
• Demonstrated ability to generate and maintain a portable book of business.
  
• Strong litigation and courtroom experience.
  
• Proven ability to independently manage a busy caseload.
  
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and grow a thriving practice.
  
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
