Job Summary
The Radiology Engineer will work independently, performing assigned maintenance, repairs, adjustments and calibrations of imaging equipment throughout various Radiology departments. The incumbent will also be responsible for keeping records of service repairs, creating purchase orders for repairs and parts; assisting with maintenance of the Imaging equipment database.
1. Performs preventative maintenance on complex department equipment and accessories.
2. Notifies appropriate vendors about system malfunctions and whether equipment is hard down or limited use and assists factory service engineers in scheduling time for completion of maintenance and/or emergency repairs. Notifies technologists in affected areas.
3. Maintains records of service calls placed and preventative maintenance records of equipment.
4. Assists with the maintenance of imaging equipment data bases and inventory tracking (equipment added/equipment removed).
5. Performs support for a wide variety of department related equipment such as, audio/visual systems.
6. Responds to all emergency situations when and where appropriate and/or necessary in all Radiology spaces.
7. Performs routine work that affects Radiology workflow such as installing / moving computers monitors and accessories in all Radiology spaces including but not limited to control rooms, exam rooms, and patient holding areas.
8. Must have a good working knowledge of various tools. May occasionally assist other departments in repairs. Responds to all emergency situations when and where appropriate and/or necessary in all Radiology spaces.
9. Maintains a safe working environment of Radiology Department responsibility.
10. Maintains proper parts inventory and keeps shop orderly and clean.
11. May be required to work weekends or rotating shifts.
12. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Biomedical Equipment Technology preferred or Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Experience
Experience in medical equipment maintenance and repair or other related role 2-3 years required and Experience in sterile processing equipment 0-1 year preferred and Experience in a supervisory or lead role 1-2 years preferred

- Strong technical knowledge of medical equipment and systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of medical devices.
- Strong organizational skills to manage maintenance schedules and inventory.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff and other departments.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols in healthcare.
