Working as part of the HSO International HR team means that daily you will be dealing with International HR related issues. You will be part of a small, experienced team that will support you and help you grow your knowledge and experience across all matters in relation to international HR and recruitment.  

Reason for vacancy 

Due to our continued growth and to ensure seamless coverage during an upcoming maternity leave period, we are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Officer to join our team, which currently consists of 2 HR Officers, 1 HR Business Partner, and 1 Compensation & Benefits Specialist. 

THE ROLE: HR Officer  

Job Description 

HSO International is looking for an HR Officer. The main purpose of this role is to work alongside and provide support to the HR Manager and to work together with the other members of the HR Team. This role is suitable for a candidate seeking to grow their skills and experience across all matters related to International HR and Recruitment.  

Job function  

Main duties will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Creating new hire offers/salary proposals. 
  • Assist with Employee application for 30% ruling. 
  • Assist with Employee VISA requirements and relocation process.  
  • Onboarding/offboarding activities. 
  • Organizing and managing the induction/onboarding days for new hires. 
  • Back-up for processing the monthly payroll. 
  • Assist with the HSO International Events & Trainings. 
  • Managing HR documents (e.g., employment records, employee personal records, and onboarding guides)  
  • Updating internal databases and Excel. 
  • Supporting with end-of-year reviews and administrative tasks. 
  • Oversee employee engagement-related matters. 
  • Audit administrative assistance.

Experience and Skills 

Essential: 

  • Located in the Netherlands  
  • Right to work in the Netherlands  
  • Able to travel to the head office as and when required 
  • An excellent level of English, verbal and written  
  • 2 years + work experience in an HR environment 
  • Strong administration skills 
  • Prioritization and organizational skills 
  • Clear and transparent communication 
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving 
  • Presentable, professional, and punctual 
  • Excellent team player 

Desired Experience / Skills: 

  • Experience in an administrative role within HR 
  • Dutch language skills, verbal and written, would be an advantage but are not essential 
  • HR and or Administration Diploma or Degree or studies in a related field 
  • Knowledge of the Dutch Law and regulations
