Job description

Development Operations Donation Specialist

Part-Time (20–24 hrs/wk) | Remote, Hybrid, or In-Person | Non-Exempt

Cedarstone is hiring a part-time Development Operations Donation Specialist to support our clients’ nonprofit fundraising operations through donation processing, donor record management, and donor CRM data management.

We run the back-office operations for nonprofits so they can focus entirely on changing the world. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of that mission— ensuring data integrity and keeping donor CRM systems completely accurate and up to date.

The Role at a Glance

  • The Focus: Supporting client fundraising through hands-on data entry, coding donations, and reconciling accounts to ensure everything balances perfectly.
  • The Tech: You will work primarily within Virtuous CRM to maintain high-quality data and ensure timely donor acknowledgments and receipts.
  • The Collaboration: You'll work closely with our Team Lead, Donations and partner with internal teams across Development Operations, Financial Operations, and Data/IT.
  • The Communication: You will also be involved in direct communication with clients and donors to support high-quality care and service.

Who We Are Looking For

We need someone with strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality. If you have experience with donor databases—especially Virtuous CRM (highly preferred)—and genuinely enjoy organizing data to solve problems for nonprofits, you’ll fit right in.

Schedule & Location

  • Hours: 20–24 hours per week, scheduled during standard business hours (Monday–Friday).
  • Flexibility: This position can be 100% remote, hybrid, or in person.
  • Location Requirement: Cedarstone is currently hiring remote employees only in the following locations: AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, NC, OH, TN, and TX.
