Digital Health & Health Tech

Qventus is the leading system for care operations automation. Building on formative experiences at Stanford and McKinsey, Qventus was founded in 2012 with the belief that world-class healthcare requires world-class operations. With backing from leading investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, and the Mayfield Fund, the company has raised more than $45M to develop a complete system for transforming the operations of health systems and hospitals nationwide. Integrating with EHRs, the Qventus real-time automation platform uses AI and behavioral science to power best practice solutions for operational challenges in inpatient, ED, perioperative, and command center settings. To operationalize the software, the Qventus Expert Services helps establish governance, deploy the solutions, and drive change management. Qventus is a proven partner with hundreds of deployments in community hospitals, academic medical centers, and large health systems across the country, including Bon Secours Mercy Health, CommonSpirit Health, HonorHealth, M Health Fairview, and Saint Luke’s Health System. With Qventus, these systems have been able to achieve significant and sustained outcomes, including 30-50% fewer excess days, 1 full day reduction in length of stay, and over 2 new cases added per operating room per month, translating to over $10 million dollars of annual financial value per facility. Qventus has been recognized by Black Book Market Research as #1 in Client Satisfaction for Patient Flow Solutions and has received accolades from the UCSF Digital Health Awards, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas. Job description

On this journey for over 12 years, Qventus is leading the transformation of healthcare. We enable hospitals to focus on what matters most: patient care. Our innovative solutions harness the power of machine learning, generative AI, and behavioral science to deliver exceptional outcomes and empower care teams to anticipate and resolve issues before they arise.

Our success in rapid scale across the globe is backed by some of the world's leading investors. At Qventus, you will have the opportunity to work with an exceptional, mission-driven team across the globe, and the ability to directly impact the lives of patients. We’re inspired to work with healthcare leaders on our founding vision and unlock world-class medicine through world-class operations. #LI-MB1

We’re building a product organization at Qventus where the best PMs don’t just write specs and shepherd backlogs, but actually build. You’ll own a high-growth product area at the intersection of generative AI and healthcare, and you’ll spend real time prototyping, automating, and creating alongside engineering and design rather than watching from the sidelines. This is an emerging, fast-evolving role.  We’re looking for someone with the drive and adaptability to help define what “builder-mode” product management looks like as we go, rather than someone waiting for a fully settled playbook.

This is the scope of the role and the work you’ll actually do:

  • Own a product area end-to-end. Take responsibility for a high-growth generative AI and healthcare product area, including its strategy, roadmap, and the decision on what gets built and why.
  • Define and manage the outcomes. Set the measurable outcomes for your area, instrument the metrics behind them, and use those numbers as the primary signal of whether the work is succeeding.
  • Discover and validate opportunities. Develop a deep understanding of your users, the market, the technology, and the data, and use it to find and validate the problems most worth solving.
  • Set the vision and requirements. Define the vision, the problems to solve, and the requirements for the solutions, and align the team and leadership behind them.
  • Get hands-on in the product through building: prototype with AI tools, mockup flows, and draft working solutions alongside engineering and design, automating the routine parts of the PM job as you go.
  • Lead a cross-functional team. Partner closely with engineers, data scientists, designers, and clinical experts to ship products that solve meaningful problems, then iterate after launch based on real impact.
  • Be the face of the product. Build relationships with users, buyers, and external thought leaders, and represent the product credibly with everyone from front-line clinicians to C-suite executives.

What we’re looking for

These are the qualities, skills, and experience we’re hiring for.

Core (the things that matter most)

  • High ownership and accountability. You take full responsibility for your product area and its results, and you drive things forward rather than wait to be driven. You are highly communicative regarding deadlines, progress, and expected outcomes.
  • Outcome-oriented and data-strong. You instinctively frame success as measurable results, and you let data guide your decisions.
  • Proven “shipper”. You have a track record of rapidly taking products through the full lifecycle and delivering real impact.
  • Exceptional communicator. Above all, you demonstrate outstanding written communication skills; you are crisp, structured, and persuasive on the page. You have. strong verbal communication too, with a confident, professional presence in front of customers and partners, including C-suite executives.
  • High motor. You thrive in a very fast-moving environment, with a strong bias to action and the energy to keep multiple things moving without dropping quality.
  • Hands-on with AI. You are fluent and comfortable using AI tools day-to-day, ideally building and prototyping with them, and willing to learn as new tools and technologies develop
  • High comfort level with data. You are comfortable developing products that lean heavily on data, analytics, and machine learning.
  • Strong product sense and taste. You have a real eye for great product and user experience, and the instinct to tell the difference between good and great.
  • Personable and customer-facing. You are collaborative, easy to work with, and the kind of person customers and partners across all functions of an enterprise SaaS healthcare technology business (such as engineering, professional services, sales, delivery) trust.
  • Adaptable. You are comfortable with ambiguity in a newer, evolving PM model, and eager to grow into a builder-mode operating style as the role takes shape.
  • Able to span altitudes. You can move from vision and evangelism down into the weeds, with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Nice to have

  • Healthcare familiarity. Exposure to healthcare operations or clinical workflows is a plus but not required. We’ll help the right person come up to speed.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in product management
