Job description

About the Role

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who knows how to drive real change. As Senior Product Manager for Cloud and Infrastructure Managed Services at Datacom, you'll take ownership of a strategically important portfolio — identifying opportunities to evolve, standardise and grow our service offerings while keeping a sharp eye on commercial performance.

You won't have a team reporting to you, but don't mistake that for lack of influence. You'll be operating at a senior level, shaping roadmaps, building business cases and directing priorities across a wide network of delivery leads, tooling teams, vendors and finance stakeholders. Your decisions will have a direct impact on how we grow and scale our managed services business.

What You Will Do

You'll own the Cloud and Infrastructure Managed Services portfolio end to end — from identifying opportunities right through to tracking benefits in production. In practice, that looks like:

  • Developing and maintaining the portfolio strategy in alignment with broader business priorities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve, standardise, rationalise or create new service offerings
  • Building business cases, commercial models and cost-benefit assessments to support investment decisions
  • Owning the product roadmap and pricing approach, and recommending priorities based on strategic and commercial value
  • Tracking improvement initiatives from concept through to production and monitoring outcomes
  • Conducting market and customer scanning to stay ahead of trends and emerging demand
  • Supporting pre-sales and client conversations, articulating service direction and managing roadmap commitments
  • Collaborating closely with product leadership, delivery leads, tooling teams, vendors and finance stakeholders

What You Will Bring

You're an experienced cloud and infrastructure professional who combines strong domain knowledge with sharp commercial instincts. You know how to navigate complexity, work through ambiguity and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority.

Beyond the experience, you'll bring:

  • Deep understanding of cloud services, private cloud and managed services
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience developing business cases and investment propositions
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activity and translating customer needs into portfolio actions
  • Proven ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
  • Structured problem-solving skills and a proactive, outcome-oriented approach
  • Clear and confident communication — whether in an executive briefing, a client conversation or a working session with delivery teams

Product management experience is a bonus but not essential — if you bring the domain expertise, commercial capability and strategic thinking, we want to hear from you. A tertiary qualification is desirable, though equivalent professional experience is absolutely considered.
