Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a technically sharp and experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Consultant to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a hands-on role where your deep technical knowledge of IAM processes, tools, and frameworks will be put to work across some of the most complex and critical systems in our environment.

You will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and optimising identity and access solutions — governing how users, systems, and applications interact securely across the organisation. From privileged access management to role-based access modelling and segregation of duties, your technical expertise will directly strengthen our security posture and drive meaningful improvements across the IAM landscape.

If you are someone who thrives on solving complex identity challenges, bringing structure to access governance, and continuously raising the security bar — this role is for you.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust IAM processes including user provisioning, transfers, terminations, and access right verification
  • Develop and manage role-based access control (RBAC) models and authorisation matrices across key enterprise systems
  • Identify and implement segregation of duties (SoD) requirements, ensuring conflicts are detected, managed, and remediated effectively
  • Administer and support Access Management solutions, ensuring they are configured, maintained, and performing optimally
  • Manage and enforce privileged access management (PAM) controls across critical systems and infrastructure
  • Conduct regular security profile monitoring and access reviews, identifying anomalies and driving timely remediation
  • Own the technical relationship with system and application owners to resolve identity and access-related issues
  • Develop and implement minimum security standards and best-practice recommendations across all identity domains
  • Drive strategic IAM process improvements, leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
  • Manage capacity planning and optimisation of IAM tooling, including licence tracking and resource utilisation
  • Produce accurate and meaningful reporting on identity standards, access governance, and compliance metrics
  • Support legal and regulatory compliance requirements through technically sound IAM controls and documentation
  • Collaborate across Technology and Business teams to align IAM capabilities with security and operational objectives

What You Will Bring

Experience & Knowledge

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in IAM processes and technologies within complex enterprise environments
  • Deep technical knowledge of privileged access management (PAM) controls and platforms
  • Strong understanding of role-based access control, access governance frameworks, and authorisation matrix design
  • Proven experience implementing and managing segregation of duties across enterprise applications
  • Experience working with Change Management and ITIL processes in large-scale environments
  • Solid understanding of IAM-related compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Vendor and licence management experience across IAM tooling and platforms

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong technical problem-solving ability with a proactive and independent approach to resolving identity and access challenges
  • Ability to assess, design, and implement IAM solutions that align with business risk and security objectives
  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex technical concepts clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across Technology, Security, and Business functions
  • Confident in producing and presenting technical reporting and access governance metrics to various levels of the organisation
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and prioritisation capabilities
  • Passionate about security best practice and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Information Security, or a related discipline or Relevant years of experience
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC
  • Microsoft certifications such as SC-300 (Identity & Access Administrator), AZ-500, SC-200, or equivalent are highly desirable
