This is a remote position.

Our client is an Australian mortgage brokerage based in the ACT that helps individuals, families, first-home buyers, and property investors secure suitable lending solutions for their property goals. The company provides expert mortgage advice and access to a broad panel of lenders, helping clients navigate the home loan process from application through to settlement.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Loan Processor is responsible for managing loan applications from start to finish. This includes gathering and verifying applicant information, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and preparing loan files for underwriting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills - effective interaction, resourceful, and able to find solutions independently, anticipating challenges and proactively addressing them, can be trusted to handle information, maintain confidentiality, and consistently deliver quality work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage mortgage applications from pre-submission through to settlement support.
  • Review loan applications and supporting documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Collect, verify, and organise client documentation required for loan submission.
  • Prepare and package loan applications for submission to lenders.
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, valuers, and other relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Monitor application progress and follow up on outstanding requirements.
  • Update and maintain accurate records within the CRM and loan processing systems.
  • Ensure all applications comply with lender requirements and industry regulations.
  • Identify and resolve application issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the mortgage broking team.
    Assist with post-submission and settlement activities as required.




Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Australian mortgage processing experience.
  • Experience with pre-submission mortgage processing is essential.
  • Exposure to post-submission and settlement processes is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Experience handling a variety of loan types, including owner-occupied, investment, refinancing, and other residential lending products.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an offshore and onshore team.
  • Proactive, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
