  • Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in related industries
  • Prior experience in life science industry preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment

Job description

As a Service Engineer, he/she is responsible for performing filed service on equipment with minimum supervision. As this role serves as a face in front of the customer, it is also expected of the service engineer to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives and therefore ensuring customer satisfaction within their assigned territories.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
  • Provide after-sales service for customers within agreed respond time.
  • Work with the service sales team to prepare the service contract or service proposal to customers.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports & maintain a service history register for all relevant equipment/system.
  • Coordinate with local sub-contractors e.g. plumbing works whenever necessary for certain products and to provide overall supervision of the job.
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
  • Liaise and co-operate with service support specialist on order processing.
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organisation
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with customers and working colleagues for smooth operation of the business.
  • To always act in a responsible manner to avoid risk to self or to the company and comply with the workplace safety and health and security policy.
  • Undertake any relevant tasks as may be directed by the superior from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronic Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in related industries

  • Prior experience in life science industry preferred

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment

  • Good team player and is able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Has good presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Require both good written and verbal communication skills in English & Chinese

  • Must be familiar with software programs e.g. Word, Excel etc.

  • Possess valid Car driving license
