The Vice President, Global Supply Chain leads the end-to-end global supply chain strategy and execution across manufacturing partners and material suppliers, logistics providers, and distribution networks, driving simplification, scalability, and operational excellence in a high-growth, highly regulated and purpose-driven business; while building systems, partnerships, and organizational clarity.
This role will operate in an operating environment with limited system automation and a high reliance on manual processes. A key part of the mandate is to assess, design, and implement the appropriate supply chain systems, tools, and data infrastructure required to support a scalable and global start-up business. This includes introducing solutions for planning, inventory management, visibility, and partner integration, while establishing standardized processes and reliable data foundations.
We are a small team. You will start as a one-person department, working in close collaboration with other functions (Operations, Customer Care, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance, …)
The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with personal hands-on execution to progressively build a modern, efficient, and system-enabled supply chain ecosystem.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Supply Chain Leadership & Strategy
• Own and define the global supply chain operating model, ensuring clear accountability across regions (EU, US, East Asia, South Asia),
• Simplify processes and reduce organizational complexity across supply chain activities,
• Lead transformation toward a scalable, system-enabled supply chain (currently largely manual),
• Establish governance, decision frameworks, and escalation paths across functions.
2. Planning, S&OP & Inventory Management
• Lead the global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
• Ensure alignment between demand, supply, production, and financial planning,
• Own inventory strategy and deployment across global distributors and MNHI distribution centers,
• Optimize working capital (inventory levels, cash flow, lead times),
• Manage supply continuity in a stop-start manufacturing environment.
3. External Partner & Network Management
• Lead strategic partnerships with:
◦ 4PL / 3PL providers,
◦ Global distributors,
◦ Manufacturing partners (e.g., Jabil),
◦ Raw materials and component suppliers,
• Oversee global logistics and distribution network design,
• Participate in selection, performance management, and audits (in collaboration with Quality),
• Ensure supply chain input into go-to-market strategies.
4. Operations Execution & Regional Oversight
• Oversee global operations including:
◦ Raw material planning,
◦ Supply planning and execution,
◦ Distribution flows,
• If based in Europe:
◦ Oversight of Operations and regional SC Partners,
• Ensure alignment between supply chain and customer care/order management.
5. Systems & Process Transformation
• Assess and implement supply chain systems (planning tools, visibility tools, …),
• Replace manual processes with scalable workflows,
• Improve data quality and operational visibility across the supply chain.
6. Organizational Leadership & Team Design
• Build and lead a small globally distributed supply chain team,
• Establish regional support structure (to be defined post-hire),
• Drive a single point of accountability for supply chain, eliminating silos,
• Re-scope and align existing roles as needed.
7. Compliance & Industry Requirements
• Ensure compliance with medical device / pharma regulatory requirements,
• Maintain high standards for traceability, quality, and documentation,
• Support market expansion (e.g., Middle East, India, US, …).
