The Regional Manager, Technology leads regional technology vendor performance and partners with franchise owners and regional leadership to align technology with business needs. The role drives issue resolution, identifies growth opportunities through technology, and represents regional priorities to central teams to support effective delivery across local markets.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

Regional Vendor Management

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with local and regional technology vendors, acting as a key point of contact for both FOs and internal teams.
  • Track vendor performance against contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), holding them accountable for quality and delivery commitments.
  • Act as a third party to help mediate and resolve issues between local vendors and market teams, building FO confidence by demonstrating the benefits of PJI’s delivery assurance.
  • Partner with FOs to perform gap analysis on existing vendor agreements, track contract expiration dates, and provide assistance in negotiations or renewals to ensure alignment with PJI’s “non-negotiable” standards over time.

Regional Partnership & Growth

  • Partner with Regional General Managers and FOs to proactively identify opportunities to increase sales by better applying existing or proven vendor technologies.
  • Act as the primary technology advisor to the regional leadership team, translating technical concepts and vendor performance into business impact.
  • Serve as the local market advocate in the early stages of the technology development cycle, ensuring that regional needs, requirements, and limitations are validated and championed within the global product roadmap.

Issue Triage and Resolution

  • In partnership with local markets and central teams, you will triage and drive the resolution of key regional issues:
  • Technical Issues: For bugs or poor integrations, you will mediate between markets and vendors to diagnose root causes and drive a resolution plan, acting as the primary escalation point.
  • Process & Knowledge Gaps: For issues arising from poor local knowledge of technology or processes, you will coach local teams to improve adherence to standards and prevent recurring problems.
  • New Feature & Development Needs: For new business requirements, you will validate the opportunity and translate it into clear requirements for central Product and Development teams, ensuring the voice of the region is a key factor in planning and investment decisions.

Education, Experience & Certifications

  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
  • A certification in vendor management, service management (e.g., ITIL), or project management.
  • Proven experience managing technology vendors, partners, or key supplier relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience working as a strategic business partner to non-technical teams, including Franchisees, Commercial, and Marketing.
  • Direct operational or commercial experience within the specific region (LATAM, EMEA, or APAC).

Functional Skills

  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy in a regional capacity.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • A practical and structured approach to resolving issues at their source.
  • The ability to quickly assess risks, performance data, and business impact.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to connect technology performance to business outcomes.
  • Builds strong, collaborative relationships with vendors, regional business leaders, and central technology teams.
